A meeting at the Politecnico di Torino with Prof. Danilo Demarchi, founder of the AgriTech degree program, kicked off this important partnership. Professor Demarchi, who is recognized for his excellence in IOT, sustainable agriculture technologies and sensor technology, together with Dr. Umberto Garlando and Dr. Alessandro Sanginario, a researcher at the Politecnico, discussed various topics with our team. Including the importance of developing a monitoring model for all Citiculture vineyards, accurately examining environmental impacts and plant viability, with a keen eye on soil health.
This gave rise to the idea of collaborating to integrate sensors and deepen existing experiences, propelling research toward ambitious new goals.
The goal of this partnership is to transform Citiculture vineyards into true open-air laboratories and driving forces for improving cities and promoting the health of local communities.
