Situated within the royal residence of the Savoy family (Villa della Regina), the Vigna della Regina was once abandoned and left in disrepair for nearly 50 years before Luca Balbiano, our founder, undertook its restoration.
Through meticulous efforts, the vineyard was replanted using historical grape varieties originally cultivated by the Savoy family. Today, it proudly yields an excellent Freisa di Chieri DOC. This revitalization project reclaimed one of Turin's green treasures.
This extraordinary restoration venture, applied to a historically valuable asset, served as the cornerstone for the Citiculture method: merging viticulture with the creation of social and environmental impacts that benefit the entire community. The art of viticulture intertwined with this restoration, generating positive social and environmental influences that enrich the community at large.
